Wishing King Khan many happy returns Shah Rukh Khan turns 48


Saluting his ever lively spirit and enthusiasm, Bollywood celebrities conveyed their birthday wishes to superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who turned 48 yesterday.
His peers in the film fraternity took to social networking site Twitter to wish him a wonderful life ahead.
Abhishek Bachchan wrote “Happy Birthday to a good friend, a great guide and best team member to have when playing FIFA. Shah Rukh Khan have a super year, big love.”
Neha Dhupia posted “Happy birthday Shah Rukh Khan … you are the reason why we believe in the magic! Big love …”
SRK’s long-time friend Farah Khan wished him many more successful films to come: “Happy birthday to my wiser, richer and ‘older-than-me’ friend! … Pictures abhi baaki hain mere dost! (the pictures will follow) Love you!”
“To a man who has never shared a dull moment with the world. Happy Birthday my good man Shahrukh! Lots of love to you.” wrote Boman Irani.
Music director Aadesh Shrivastava also wished the Bollywood heavyweight, posting “Happy birthday to Shah bhai. May you achieve this year what you desire, good health. Many happy returns of the day, God bless you.”
A self-made man with no godfather to back his career in the film industry, Shah Rukh has come a long way in his two decades at B-town. Beginning his journey with the TV series “Fauji” in 1988, he is a global icon today with a colossal fan following, transcending the Indian sub-continent by far and large.
Shah Rukh Khan entered Bollywood with the film “Deewana” in 1992, and struck an instant impression, bagging the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. From being one of the actors who have received maximum Filmfare awards for his acting prowess, Shah Rukh’s landmark films include “Darr”, “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge”, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, “Devdas”, “Chak De India”, and his latest record-breaking success “Chennai Express”. “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” — released in 1995 — completed a staggering 900-week run at the Maratha Mandir theatre in Mumbai, India this year.
A father of two, Shah Rukh has not only been the ideal man for many in the country but also one of the top actors whose films are a sure-shot blockbuster at the Box Office. The actor has also dipped his hands into production and started his company Red Chillies Entertainment with wife Gauri Khan in 2002.
Shah Rukh is currently shooting for his much-anticipated film “Happy New Year” with Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan and many others.
